He seems to spend most of his time in the US. I just wondered when the last time he went to, or played in the UK?

Anyone know?

There is a comprehensive Gig list on the Struck by Lightning website;

http://www-nw.uni-regensburg.de/~dej095 ... g-list.htm

After a quick glance it looks like the last non USA performance from GP was in August 2001 in London (Dingwalls).

I recently came across a review for the Box of Bootlegs where the reviewer said

" this quickie collection of live recordings serves as a more modest memory prod, in the absence of the man returning from upstate New York to these shores for any gigs (his 'resident alien' status means he can’t leave America without running the risk of not be allowed back in). "
http://www.recordcollectormag.com/revie ... etail/6709

Putting 2 & 2 together it looks like GP has not been out of the USA to play gigs since the 9/11 event.

Can anyone shed any light on the current American Immigration laws and if this 'Resident Alien' classification is a possible/likely reason for GP not playing outside the USA for the past 10 years?

If it is it's Dark Days for us foreigners...

actually Graham is now a citizen since '90 something, I think he can come and go as he should please, perhaps "it's not if it pleases the man."

this may be a "rumour" who's to say except "the scares all over his passport"

Strange that he's not been to the UK for over 10 years. That's a looong time.

Come back Graham :(

I'm pretty sure he's not a US citizen.

There must be some reason he's not played in the UK in over 10 years. Does anyone know about his legal status?

If he's legally in the US then there's no reason not to be let back in. After all if you've lived in the US for that long you must have some sort of legal permanent resident status.
